Grappa

Rakija Grappa

Grappa is a traditional Italian brandy produced by distilling the remains of grapes after the winemaking process. This brandy is known for its rich aroma and distinctive taste that reflects the grape variety from which it is made. Grappa is often consumed as a digestif, after meals, and can be served neat or in combination with coffee or chocolate. Its production requires careful selection and preparation of the grapes, as well as precise control of the distillation process to preserve the aroma and quality of the brandy.

Aroma and taste

Crystal clear, with intense aromas of grape pomace, dried fruit, almonds, and delicate floral notes. On the palate it is warm and full-bodied, with the pronounced varietal character of the grapes from our vineyard, while the finish brings a long, pleasant warmth and fine notes of honey and vanilla.

Production process

Grappa is produced by distilling the fresh grape pomace left over from the production of our wines. Distillation is carried out carefully, in small batches and with precise temperature control, preserving the varietal aromas of the grapes, after which the brandy rests in stainless steel until bottling.

How to drink it?

Grappa is traditionally enjoyed as a digestif, after a meal. Serve it slightly chilled, at 10 to 14°C, in a tulip-shaped glass that concentrates the aromas — letting its rich grape character come to full expression; it is also excellent with coffee or dark chocolate.

What does it pair best with?

It pairs ideally with chocolate desserts, dried fruit, walnuts, and almonds, as well as with espresso coffee. It is also an excellent choice alongside aged cheeses, and served after a rich meal it aids digestion and rounds off the dining experience.
