Crna Tamjanika represents a fusion of the variety's autochthonous character and a modern approach to winemaking. Aromas of forest fruit, blueberry, blackberry, and ripe sour cherry dominate, harmoniously intertwined with floral notes of violet and the variety's signature frankincense tones. The proximity of the Danube and the pronounced temperature differences between warm days and cool nights help preserve the wine's aromatic complexity and natural freshness. A special dimension is added by a carefully crafted blend with a measured share of Začinak, an old Krajina variety known for its pronounced spicy aroma and lively structure. Začinak does not dominate, but discreetly enriches the wine with notes of black pepper, clove, and Mediterranean herbs, while contributing additional freshness, elegance, and a long-lasting finish. The result is a medium to full-bodied wine with fine, ripe tannins and a long, layered finish in which fruity, floral, and spicy notes alternate in perfect balance.
The wine has a powerful brick colour, with intense varietal aromas of strawberry and rose. Its pleasant, smooth character and perfect balance between acidity and subtle sweetness provide an experience that leaves a lasting impression on the senses.
It ages both in stainless steel and in oak barrels, and is blended afterwards. This gives us the freshness of the wine on one side, while the other brings subtle wood aromas, softer tannins, better harmony with its typical acidity and a longer finish.
Best served slightly chilled at around 12–14°C. Be sure to try it on special occasions, with close friends, in romantic moments or whenever you want to enjoy a unique wine that leaves a striking impression.
Serve with dishes such as grilled vegetables, baked beans (prebranac), veal, turkey or chicken.
